Nestling in a peaceful hilltop olive grove, Ridge Cottage has wonderful views over the vineyards of Marlborough, stretching from the Richmond Ranges to the Wither Hills, and then over the Cook Strait to the North Island in the distance. Harrier Hawks swoop and soar across the valley below, whilst California Quail wander quietly through the surrounding trees.
This delightful little cottage is self-catering for two people, and has recently been modernised. It has a new, fully equipped, open-plan kitchen and living room, with comfortable sofas that invite you to drink in the amazing scenery in summertime, or stretch out on in front of the toasty-warm wood burner in winter. The ranch sliders lead onto the east-facing deck: a great place for a sun-filled breakfast, or a glass of chilled Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at day’s end as you watch the shadows falling across the valley.
With plenty of local activities, we would be happy to help you plan your stay. Anything goes, from boating in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds to a guided tour of the region’s lovely cellar doors; there’s even a delicious chocolate factory nearby! For fine dining there are top restaurants and eateries, or you may just wish to curl up on the sofa with a coffee and a good book.
The cottage sits alongside our working family-owned vineyard, and we would be delighted to answer any questions you may have. A dog would happily accompany you if you wanted to have a wander through the vines as well!
On arrival, you will be treated to a complimentary Welcome Hamper and a bottle of delicious local wine, which we hope you will enjoy at your leisure.
